What are the rental costs?
There are three main rental charges:
- Daily Wireless Modem Rental
- Postage & handling
- Additional Data above daily allowance, if selected
Do I need to pay a deposit for the Wireless Modem?
A pre-authorised amount of $300 will be allocated towards your Credit Card and only charged to your Credit Card in the instance that the card is not returned by you or returned in a faulty state as per the terms and conditions.
Is there a discount for longer rental periods?
Yes, the pricing system is scaled so the more days you hire wireless broadband, the less you will pay for each day of rental.
How will my Credit Card be charged?
Your Credit Card will be charged the amount quoted at the completion of the Online Order.
Which Credit Cards do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
When will the Wireless Modem be delivered?
The Wireless Modem will be delivered by the Business Day prior to the start date of your rental period.
How will the Wireless Modem be delivered?
The Wireless Modem will be delivered to your nominated delivery address via Australia Post by the Business Day prior to the start date of your order.
How do I return the Wireless Modem?
The Wireless Modem will be delivered in a reusable, prepaid & pre addressed Express Post envelope which must be used to return the Wireless Modem on the end date. The Wireless Modem must be lodged at an Australia Post Express or standard mail box no later than 5pm on the end date of your wireless broadband rental period. Refer to the terms and conditions for more details.
When does the Rental period Start & Finish?
The rental period commences at 5pm on the day prior to your start date and ends at 5pm on the end date of your order.
What if I want to extend my rental period?
You can extend your rental period by calling us on (03) 9527 4456. We will arrange the extension and charge the applicable costs to your Credit Card. By extending the rental period, you will also benefit from the discounted daily rate applied to the greater number of rental days.
Do I need to load software onto my computer?
Yes. The software is housed within the Wireless Modem, so once the USB is inserted into your computer the software will load as per the User Instructions. There is no separate software disc.
How do I load the software?
The software will automatically load when the Wireless Modem is inserted into your computer. User Instructions are included to ensure the process is quick and easy.
What types of speeds can I expect for uploads and downloads?
While speeds may vary depending on various factors associated with our carrier, you can expect up to:
- 7.2mbps for downloads
- 5.7mbps for uploads
Is it compatible with an Apple Mac?
Yes. The Wireless Modem is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 and above, 32 bit only. It is advisable to download the latest Mac software prior to receiving the device from the following link.
Is it easy to order?
The order process takes under 5 minutes.
Are there any contracts?
There are no contracts, as the Wireless Modem is available for daily rental. Terms and conditions do require your acceptance prior to completing the order.
How much data can be used in a day?
The data allowance is 1.4 gigabytes per week, which is pro-rated on a daily basis.
What if I go over the data limit?
An additional charge of $0.25 per megabyte downloaded and uploaded above the pro-rated weekly limit will be charged to your Credit Card. You can arrange additional data during the order process if you require more data than the daily allowance.
Why is the minimum rental period 3 days?
To allow us to offer the service at reasonable prices, we have a rental period minimum. In some instance we allow two day rentals (if an order is placed at a promotional kiosk where you can receive the modem on the spot). We will keep you updated on our website as kiosks are made available for customers to order and pick up a Wireless Modem.
Can the Wireless Modem be used outside of Australia?
No. The modem is only equipped for use within Australian and is not permitted for use in other countries.
What if the Wireless Modem is faulty when I receive it?
All modems are tested prior to being dispatched. In the unlikely case that the Wireless Modem is faulty on receipt, you will need to call us on (03) 9527 4456 immediately so we can rectify any problem with the Wireless Modem or send out a replacement. Refer to the terms and conditions for more information regarding faulty cards.
